Grindelwald First Gondola

We gently float up from Grindelwald to First in the security of the gondola. Amazing views accompany us all the way up. Once up, it’s hard to take your eyes from the majestic mountains - you are afraid they might fall upon you…

Things could also get airy: On the Flying Fox (Tyrolienne) First Flyer at up to 80 km per hour, on the suspension bridge of the First Cliff Walk (opened recently) or on the agile Mountain Carts with the wind in your hair. First is starting point for many hikes too. Click on any of the pictures to see what I am talking about:

Big mountains on the left Then on the right we get a glimpse on Grindelwald and on the majestic Eiger Nord Face (German: Nordwand) On the way up you see green meadows and creeks all over the place... On top you just have to admire this piece of engineering... Let's check why were those people screaming - it is the First Flieger... Or was it these these people taking off, here a little more on the right... Ooo but the mountains... insane... My son must have spotted Batman or something in the valley... Time for lunch - there's a nice restaurant with a view, right on the final gondola station... Besides the mountains, the alpine choughs are always fun to watch from the restaurant's terrace... And don't forget the paragliders... Belly full, time to head down to the middle station... Bike trailer mountains staring pit stop... Getting closer to the middle station, some cabins are showing up... Not bad waking up in one of these... Up in the gondola and heading back to base now...
